The Access Guide is a journey
planning aid. It sets out the access features and barriers along
the pedestrian routes, from centres of interest to the means of
transport, at bus and rail stations, ferry terminals, and multi-mode
interchanges. It allows people to make a judgement on whether they
can start or finish a journey at any particular terminal.

Mobility is precious to everyone.
Merseytravel strives to deliver Merseyside's public transport service
in a way that meets the community's needs and wishes in enjoying
that mobility and access for all. Our public transport system is
a key component of all our every day lives, both directly and indirectly.
Directly in terms of the essential journeys for work, going to school,
leisure, shopping and getting to the hospital. Indirectly, in terms
of assisting and complementing the overall ongoing social and economic
recovery efforts in the region.
Public transport has a substantial role to play in the reduction
of social exclusion by catering for the accessibility needs of those
without a car and who depend on the services we provide. Our development
of a single high quality, integrated public transport network is
central to providing this accessibility in a safe, comfortable and
sustainable way to provide transport for all.
